    Yeah I never seen an SSD crash and so far none of them I have had died. But I really think that upgrading to an SSD will do a whole lot more for your laptop than going from an i5 to an i7 or 6gb of RAM to 8 and I would think most people would agree its the best upgrade you can do for increasing...

    probably overkill I would go with a 500gb I haven't seen many people use more than 300 gb on a laptop

    I understand that but I don't think your going to find a noticeable difference in speed of the system by doing a CPU and 2 gb of RAM upgrade. The SSD will make the whole system feel a lot faster.

    I would reinstall the OS on the SSD or you can clone drive it but it may have some issues. Just use a desktop

    pull the ODD and put an adapter tray in with an SSD upgrade the ram to 8 GB but I recommend buying an 8gb kit

    i7 3540m but honestly I don't see much reason to upgrade the cpu in your case. I would add a SSD if your looking to speed it up.

    I have done this countless time while refurbishing laptops and haven't had a problem yet with it. Just make sure its the right socket
