I have Nikon Coolscan 9000ED (LS-9000)

I have an older film negative scanner (8 yrs old) that uses a IEEE-1394 data cable. Haven' t used it in years but now have the chance to scan long lost film negatives. Problem is my desktop hasn't got any such connection anymore. Can anyone tell me if any of the IEEE-1394 6-pin to USB adapters...

Newbie question: Does it matter which USB port a retail Win 10 install thumb should be plugged into to load onto a new build: the rear MOBO USB port or front panel USB port ?
