i set the memory parameters in bios...they were set to 1333, 9 9 9 24, 1.5...set to 1600, 10 10 10 27, 1.5. that was the specs that i looked up for my ram. did i do that correctly?

ok think im good. looked in cpuz and the frequency is at 803.

i ran wmic memorychip get speed in cmd. and it is stiill at 667. am i looking at the right thing? i think the voltage was at 1.46 on bios.

i enabled xmp. should i redo that and just leave it alone then.

so is this the right speed? i am kinda confused about this, kinda dumb when it comes to ram. new at building lol

RMA'ing it.

I have just installed 970a ds3p fx. I installed os on a ssd and everything was going good. I triedvto get into bios and couldnt. A black screen with poibter, pointer moved by its self and nothing...tried clearing cmos to try to fix it and still nothing. Now it won't boot into ssd...no mobo...

Hello, I recently ordered a new mobo (970a ds3p fx) and an fx 8300. I was wondering if the cpu will support ddr3 1600 ram. The specs say 1866. Is there anything I will have to do in bios, or will it boot up ok. Might be a dumb question but im new to building pc. Thank you.
