Ok yeah it is a six year old drive that I am fixing in my dad's pc because whenever he boots he gets the error message that his drive is failing so we decided to get a new one to clone it. Also I am using the Acronis True Image wd edition, but i will try to run chkdsk /f.

Ok according to overdrive my CPU is running between 45 and 50 degrees or that is what the thermal margin is jumping.

ok, i got overdrive and was looking at the cpu status and only found info on the thermal margin. Is that the same thing as the thermal limit?

Recently I installed HwMonitor to look at my CPU and GPU temps. It was reading about 50 degrees on my CPU which is what I mainly care about. When I went into bios though, it said my CPU had a temp of 70 degrees which is way to hot. Any help on why or how this is happening would be great.
