Question Eye-saving displays? Help me choose a display for my build!

Okay, thanks guys. It could be just in my eyes that my current monitor strains them. Mobile phone sort of does the same. But not TV. Does Hz level or refresh rate or something like that have anything to do with how much monitor might strain one's eyes? I just want to make sure.

Question Eye-saving displays? Help me choose a display for my build!

Hi I've decided to buy myself a new PC with 7600X CPU and 6800XT GPU and only need a display now. I'm buying from Finland and Jimm.fi is the shop of preferance. 250-350 € budget, and obviously cheaper is more preferable here. I know that "eye-saving" is a bit tricky thing to ask for...

Build Advice 5600X, 7700X, 13600K... help me choose the CPU for my system

I might still get the PCIE 4.0 SSD if only due to its usually higher endurance, but we shall see. And maybe just one 2TB drive instead of two drives. It's usually cheaper too. I did some calculations actually and tweaked the builds slightly, replacing 5600X with practically same price 5700X for...

Build Advice 5600X, 7700X, 13600K... help me choose the CPU for my system

Hehe, cool story for sure! I don't know how big Waldo's People were in Canada but they were popular in Europe I believe! We have many things in common, Canadian and Finns. But I suppose that little pond between us has limited our interaction to mostly just ice hockey :D We Finns get fleeced...

Build Advice 5600X, 7700X, 13600K... help me choose the CPU for my system

Thanks guys for the answers! You guys are right, 5600X does seem like a bit old CPU for 2023, even though it is still just fine. Especially for my GPU choise. I know that Ryzen 7700X is supposed to run hot but it still kind of scares me! If it was a 2 year old CPU and people said that it's...

Build Advice 5600X, 7700X, 13600K... help me choose the CPU for my system

Hi I'm planning to build myself a new PC (or rather have someone else build it for me) possibly this April. I'm willing to pay around 1800-2200 € for the components. But the less that it costs the better, of course. Otherwise 2200 € PC would be a no-brainer. I'll buy all the parts from...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

I think I'll close this thread because the build is more or less complete. I think we could argue about the optimal performance cooling for months without finding the best solution. Same would probably be true with the monitor. And maybe even the RAM memory. In the end, it's also a matter of...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing a GPU (3060 ti or 3070 ti)

Well I didn't get a chance to buy anything, yet. But I actually decided that I would buy the 3060 ti, unless there's some very good discount on 3070 ti (like 50-100 € more than 3060 ti). I wouldn't say that 3070 ti isn't worth its price though, but I think 3060 ti will serve me well enough...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

Alright, Black Friday's here... Apparentally B550 Gaming Edge Wifi's new price is 150 €. Yay! But so did some other motherboards, including MSI X570S Tomahawk Max Wifi. It is now 230 €. It should be a pretty decent board, just pricy. But is it worth the 80 € more? Better audio codec would...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

Thanks for the comment. I could be wrong, but doesn't B550 Gaming Edge Wifi have gen4 support for one NVME (my NVME are all gen3 though, so in that sense it doesn't matter so much)? I think that's pretty much the standard, if I understood that right. I didn't take a look at the low end boards...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

I may have seen it, during my ~30 years of gaming, but have I paid any attention to it? No. Did I even know about screen tearing? No. And let's face it. Even though we'd all be perfectly happy having the most expensive gaming PC in the world right now, it's still bad compared to PCs in 2030's...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

Hey, thanks for the comment! In my case, the GPU choise was mostly out of necessity. Most alternatives had either run out or the price was too high for what I was willing to consider. So I pretty much chose the other components around that GPU, with some future upgrade in mind though. I said...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

So I read a bit more about them... Viewing angles are a bit irrelevant to me. It's not a TV that I'm looking for. I'll be sitting right infront of my monitor. I actually think that I would be just fine with a good quality TN monitor. I mean, if you don't know what better colours look like...

[SOLVED] Need help choosing the components for my gaming PC

3600 MHz it shall be then, thank you. Now I only really need a non-curved gaming monitor (curved or not? if curved, then only slightly), which I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy now. But I may aswell use this same thread for that. So... I've read about monitors, but it's all still blurry... Too...

Okay, not the same specs on stock and regular fans. Stock are indeed worse. Yes, it does. That's why I'd rather have 2x 140 mm for intake. What a waste... MSI B550 Gaming Edge Wifi: Supports DDR4 1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200 MHz by JEDEC Supports DDR4 2667/ 2800/ 2933/...
