How did you update the drivers? Swich to integrated? Safe mode? A simple update might not always cut it. I recommend using a free software named "Driver sweeper". It removes any trace of the old drivers. After that just get the drivers from AMD website.

How much disk space is currently allocated for paging file? Have you run memtest to test your RAM? Any other games you are having this issue with? How many backround programs are you running? Could it be eating up RAM?

What do you mean by "higher-level graphics programs"? I really do not see the need for a GTX 750 card. For accounting and office work I would go with intel as you can get a good enough integrated GPU and save money on that.
