No it doesn't. It will only disable HDDs connected through IDE, typically used inside of your computer. The USB harddrives should still work.

I believe the Voltage for a typical household is 110V (120V) in the U.S., not sure about other countries in America.

Which motherboard do you have, and have you tried non-usb keyboards? See if setting USB to legacy helps.

You need to disable the Marvell controller in the BIOS. It is checking for a IDE HDD, which I assume it doesn't need to do, since you probably use SATA.

I would try unplugging your HDD, and seeing if you can perhaps start up in a Linux live CD. I don't know how your BIOS is set up, but you may want to see if you can change the boot order to boot from CD first. Then you may be able to reinstall Windows. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try another...

I had a similar problem on one of my older machines, it turned out the power supply I had was set to 100V instead of the 120V we get in the U.S. It too slowly died, in a similar fashion as described above, so I would suggest checking your power supply.

I just noticed that the UD3 had x4 on that second slot and was contemplating getting the UD4 as well. I think I'll just go with the UD3 and save $50 towards getting a better single GPU solution anyway. It should allow for ~ $50 + $160 (a second 5700) so around $200. Would there be any problem...
