I wonder if it is a hard disk issue. Though, if you happen to have another computer/laptop laying around, definitely test out your monitor just to make sure that the monitor doesn't wake up after a certain amount of time.

I would highly suggest removing the sleep mode for both the desktop and monitor and keep them both on for a period of time. That way you can know if its the sleep issue. If either one decides to sleep when you had already turned it off, something more severe can be the issue, but...

Have you tried playing around with the sleep settings on both your Desktop and Monitor? When the monitor sleeps, does your desktop also sleep (do you hear your desktop running)?

I am assuming you are using the HDTV as a 2nd monitor, and so your monitor is your main.
What I was saying is that when you open up your softwares/programs, leave it open on your HDTV, that way you can always see your desktop icons on your monitor.

I just wanted to know why we are now able to install a software from a cd and no longer need that cd to be in the cd drive to run the software?
I remember 10 years ago we would always need the CD inside the computer in order to boot into the software.

I wanted to create a subnetwork within my main network. My main one is used just for internet and is shared by 4 people (my roomates). It currently has a modem and wifi router hooked up.

Sorry I forgot to mention my cleaners. I usually use MalwareBytes, CCcleaner, and SuperAntiSpyware... All of these scans do not allow me to choose which drive to choose, so if you are correct, then I can assume that it is cleaning all drives then.
