I intend to test both, the gpu and the hdd in another system. If only I could access the bios to try reinstalling windows. I'll also try resetting BIOS in the morning. The circumstances of the problem make me suspect that the problem is software related. But I'll give the above checks a try.

I've recently bought i3-4160 paired with gtx 750 ti and mobo is Z97M-D3H. Cpu temprature gets quiet high as I start to play game ,like mafiaIII,JC3 ,BF1 etc .. It reaches about 80-85 Degree celcius and I am worried if those are too high for an i3 processor .I m running cpu on stock cooler...
