just refresh your pc in update and recovery in pc settings , or you could just try to update the build as well, that is baring any hdd issue as the only time that has happened to me, i needed to do a disk check to fix the issue so u could try that 2

mabey the card was not running at full pci-e speed and re seating the card might have fixed that, about the only thing that i can think would cause a performance boost by just removing the graphics card

hyper 212 are awesome coolers for the price, it will fit motherboard without a worry but u will nee a case thats wide enough to fit it as there tall coolers, if your case is around 200mm wide u should be fine
