I just finished cleaning my PC and i unpluged then pluged back in my GPU (Asus GTX760DCII OC 2Gb) i got strange performance boost that i noticed in FC4. Before it did stuter little bit on all ultra (SMAA and very high textures) now all of that is gone, it runs very smoothly. How is that possible? I didnt unplug the power cable (6pin) from the GPU i just removed it from the slot and did some cleaning on fans.

I clean my PC every month or 2 times per month, it all depend how much time i have, couse i work a job that im away from home for 12-16hrs. I like doing it and i never noticed this kind of boost. That's why is so strange to me.

That is strange, but a welcome surprise I am sure :) I had a similar performance "woohoo" moment when I upgraded my graphics card. I had a 7 year old PC Power and Cooling 750watt PSU and installed a GTX 980. The PSU started buzzing like crazy under GPU load. It should have been enough power, but I figured age took its toll. Put a 1kw EVGA in there and gained 1k points in 3D Mark Firestrike. My guess is that the buzzing was overvolt or some other kind of protection being kicked off and it was nerfing the card. Who knows, I'm just glad it's working now!

nah, as i said, i clean my PC every month, just this time i removed my GPU what i never do. That's why im here making thread about it, my PC is always clean i take care of it very well. The GPU was not even dusty or anything (except the PCB) inside and the fins are clean like an tear drop, i just did little whipeing of the fans and its fins, that's it.

yes, it was very welcome and nice surprise :) I really cant figure out how and why it did that, but im not complaining, its awesome :) only wish that they have fixed "Dying Light" -s GPU Usage and everything whould be even better :)

mabey the card was not running at full pci-e speed and re seating the card might have fixed that, about the only thing that i can think would cause a performance boost by just removing the graphics card

Yes, probably is that. i have Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 very happy with it. OC's my FX 8350 on 4.525MHz with 60-65c on socket. Still i find it strange that even on highest settings on dying light its not using the full potential of the GPU around 70% and i get playable frame rates around uper 30-40
