    Amperage requirement question

Okay, I'll go PSU shopping then. I suppose it's wise to replace it before it takes down my whole system.

    Amperage requirement question

This is it I believe: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817709010 I think it's the only part I've yet to replace since I got this PC in 2008 haha. If I have to replace it, I will, but I'd prefer not to.

    Amperage requirement question

I recently ordered a GTX 650. Unlike my previous card (Radeon HD 4670, I know I'm cheap), this one requires a 6pin connection to the PSU, rather than just getting it's power from the PCI-E slot. I ordered a molex to PCI-E power cable which hasn't arrived yet so I haven't gotten to see if it...

I have a display problem that progressively became worse.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L665D-S5159. Currently, I can only faintly see anything on the display. A couple weeks prior to this problem, the display would go out for a few seconds at a time, then come back to normal. It seemed to happen randomly, and it would seem to correct itself on its own...

Trouble Getting Into BIOS/Setting Boot Order

I made a mistake while setting boot order (was wanting to boot from a external HDD). I set the priority disk to "disable", thinking it would let me choose which disk I wanted to boot upon start up. Now whenever I start my PC, it briefly shows the POST screen, then it defaults to an error...

    Defective Motherboard or No?

Okay, if it's to power the CPU then that's likely to be it, since the other CPU didn't work either despite being supported by the BIOS. Thanks for your help.

    Defective Motherboard or No?

Ahh. Could it perhaps be the 8 pin port labeled "ATX_12v"? I don't recall ever connecting a cable to that. Would that cause this problem? Unfortunately I don't have the PC in front of me anymore, but I'll call my friend if this is the case.

    Defective Motherboard or No?

Hmm... I'm looking over an image of the mobo and don't see anything. Could you perhaps give it a quick look as well. Here is the link.

    Defective Motherboard or No?

One video card didn't require any extra power. For the other one, yes, it did come with a molex adapter. I tried using both that and a PCI-E power cable that came with the power supply. The fans came on in both cases, but still no display. Is that what you're referring to, or was it something else?

    Defective Motherboard or No?

There's no integrated graphics on the motherboard, so it should run fine with a PCI card. Neither mine or the one my friend bought displayed anything however, though they both worked in my PC.

    Defective Motherboard or No?

Okay, my friend and I started assembling his new PC build. He got one of the new AMD FX processors, and the motherboard supports it according to Gigabyte's website. However, I get no video display after turning it on. The fans for everything run fine. I tried both PCI slots, same result. I tried...

    Updating BIOS Without Monitor?

I'm not getting any display after building a new PC. The video card works in another PC, so it's not that. I just read on the Gigabyte website that you need to update the BIOS in order to use FX-series cards. Would this prevent me from getting a video signal to the monitor, or no? If so, how am...

    Deleting OS Without Formatting

Haven't bought the SSD yet, trying to figure this out first. I'm thinking 60GB maybe though. The HDD is 320GB.

    Deleting OS Without Formatting

Okay, I want to do a fresh install of Windows 7 onto an SSD, then use my HDD which currently has Windows 7 on it for extra storage. However, I don't want to be prompted about which drive to boot from, nor do I want useless OS files on my spare drive. I don't have another drive to backup files...

    3.5mm to Digital Coaxial?

I would be surprised if a converter of this sort actually existed, but I figured it was worth asking. Basically, I'm looking to hook my PC up to my surround sound receiver. The only open input I have is a digital coax. On my PC, I don't have any sort of digital output besides HDMI, but my...
