what does a bios driver have anything to do with it ? are you saying i'm running old drivers on peripherals that aren't compatible with my current setup ?

WTF ! i tried msi afterburner and got 98-100% gpu usuage ! ran the windows one with it and it got 40%... how accurate is afterburner ?

easiest thing to check is the windows game bar which shows gpu load, but also checked with hwinfo

ok, so to make it easier, these are the things I already tried : changing the power setting in the nvidia control panel changing the power plan in windows 10 checking vsync/framecap in games checking refresh rate on monitor (got 120hz) disabling/enabling hept clean install of nvidia drivers...

Since I just upgraded a new mobo+cpu+ram, I already did a clean install. I would doubt that it will work if i do that again... That's so messed up that so many people have this issue and noone has come up with a solution yet... Apparently it's more common than it seems.

think i might get the thermalright one then , since i don't wanna mess with a liquid setup. need to figure out if its gonna fit in my case. thank you guys for the recommendations !

I'll try it now, hope it wont ruin anything. Nope, i always make sure im running without vsync or any framecap - that's why i could get sometimes 70-80 fps but was still at 50% usuage.
