Gonna try loading without the GPU and clearing the graphics drivers, and will try with a display port cable. If neither with I'll refund/trade it back to cex

Bought it from cex, I don't know their reputation but it says on their website they test all their hardware to make sure it works

The GPU and ram is second hand, but the rest of the components are all new. Not to mention I've yet to install windows on it yet (I could but I'm waiting until I can get the GPU to output video) would there even be drivers downloaded?

Don't have a spare pc for that unfortunately. Probably going to buy a display port cable and see if that makes it work

The PSU has two 6+2 pcie connectors, both were plugged in to the GPU (14 slots overall) and the GPU turned on, with the fans spinning and LEDs on and whatnot edit: spelling errors

Building computer and trying to get desktop to post. Tried a normal post and there was no video output using GPU or mobo hdmi. Disconnected the ram and tried booting and there was still no ez debug light. Not sure if this means the motherboard is dead or if I should go through the post checklist...

Building a pc which didn't post, so I removed the cpu and straightened the pins. It's now been a day since I separated the cpu and cooler, do I still need to clean them and reapply thermal paste or will the current coating work?? Same cooler and cpu just to clarify

Need one for i7-2600k, live in the UK and this is my first pc so no crazy overclocks. Im prioritizing being cheap as well.
