Your current card is 10.5" long so as long as you stay that length or under you should be good. Start searching 1060's and look at their specs to see how long the card is.

Assuming the heatsink is properly installed and the thermal paste is adequate you could have a failed pump in your cooler. I would remove and re-apply thermal paste verify the cooler is properly installed and than verify that all necessary fan and power cables are connected for the cooler.

If its for gaming you would be better off with the 7700k.

What are you going to be using it for and what model are the Xeon CPU's?

+1 for the Samsung. Own one and love it.

A single card is always a better option as some games do not scale very well with a second card. Also a single 1070 will delver the performance you are looking for in both of those games.

Above poster is correct and seeing that the i3 6100 is not a true quad core I would definitely say no.

I wouldnt bother unless you find that you are maxing out your 16GB and running out of virtual memory.

How much Ram do you have? Readyboost will only make sense if you are low on RAM.

My work laptop with an i5 hovers around those same temps, idle and load. Laptops will of course run warmer. Make sure that you always have to intake and exhaust of the laptop unobstructed and from time to time blow out all the dust with compressed air and you should be fine.

Open the case, ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface and touch your heatsink, if it is really over 100C you will not be able to touch it as it will be too hot. Also at that high of a temp your pc would likely be seriously throttling or powering off due to overheating.

If your just gaming and watching media than go with the 7700k.
