Pentium D 820 and GTX 960.. it will have a large bottleneck. The Pentium D 820 is a 2005 dual core chip, it will not perform like a new i3 dual core or the new pentiums. I also seriously doubt you can overclock on the prebuilt mobo.

You answered your own question... just watch some youtube videos running a similar setup and do some google searches and you will find the answer.

Couldn't you just order all the parts you want and when they arrive let your mum wrap them up :P? Most prebuilt systems in the $500 range from dell, Hp etc will have small power supplies and usually wont have very good cpu's because they need to factor in all the parts. Their are websites here...

http://www.notebookcheck.net/GTA-V-Benchmarked.140881.0.html shows the 940m running high with 15fps. That is the data I went from seeing as you were to lazy to do it yourself. I still doubt you can run it fine on high unless its a very small resolution.

I have my G3258 at 4.0ghz on stock cooler and it never exceeds 60c while stress testing or gaming. It depends largely on your climate.

According to this http://www.legitreviews.com/intel-pentium-g3258-processor-review-quest-5ghz_145874/15 the G3258 used 119w at 4.8ghz. So that plus I have seen HD7950's use 300w+ on full load. It would work as your computer wouldn't be at full load very often however, you are cutting it close.

I would be surprised if you could run it well on medium/low settings.

I haven't seen the case you are using however, the first step is to get the measurements of the card and see if it will fit. If you buy a GTX 960 with a good cooler (ASUS direct CUII for example) it shouldn't really require any extra cooling (as long as your case has atleast 1 fan blowing out...

On my G3258 I got 4.0ghz on 1.13v on stock cooler and its been running great for weeks (less than 60 degrees in BF4). I used the cheapest MSI h81m-p33 mobo and it was really easy to oc. The Z97a should be a lot better :\

I overclocked my G3258 to 4.0ghz on 1.13v on stock cooler and it stays under 65 degrees while gaming. I gained like 10-15 fps so its well worth to OC and you don't need an extra cooler unless you want to go further. The pentium would go great with a gtx 960 if thats in your budget, but a 750ti...
