So I've checked the QVL list and my ram kit isnt on it . Even with this said the machine should still boot ? Please let me know as I am about to buy new ram or upgrade the PSU

It's not a hard process by any means . You should be able to accomplish it somewhere Inside that repair window you boot too

First you should back up any data you dont want to risk losing . After doing this , I recommend searching this forum or Google with a guide . As I don't feel comfortable enoughto explain it to another user who is unfamiliar with the process.

No , you changed major parts of your hardware and windows cant "repair" the change . A simple windows reinstall should be fine .

When you attached the cooler did you reapply some form of thermal compound ?
