Router only working on WEP and open

So I have a D-Link DIR-860L and it worked fine for one month but then the 5Ghz band disappeared so I checked it out and reset it and I cannot connect on WPA-Personal and it sometimes disappeares randomly. But if I set it as open network or set the security to WEP it's working just fine. Any idea...

using a 3 pin case fan for a psu

got a pretty decent psu, but the fan on it became so noisy because it is touching it's frame so i want to replace that fan with a regular 3pin fan i have laying around here why would it not be a good idea to use tape though?

using a 3 pin case fan for a psu

i've looked up another threads, but they only say to use a molex to 3 pin adapter. i was thinking to cut the cables and tape them to the ones on the psu fan plug, but the case fan has a tachometric wire that the psu does not have. do i need it for the fan to work, or can i just ignore it and...

    990FXA-UD3 memory problem

Hello! Until recently I only had 2 sticks of 4GB ram. Today i bought a new 8GB stick of ram and after I seated it on my motherboard, I only have 7.96GB usable out of 16GB in System . I placed the first 2 sticks on ram on slot 1 and 2 so they don't link each other in dual-channel and placed the...

    1ms vs 1ms GTG

Is the difference between a 1ms and 1ms GTG display noticeable? I can't find any thread or article on this issue. I know that GTG means gray to gray and is faster than black to black, thus it means a bigger black to black delay and my question is: how big is that delay difference?

3 pin fans on fan controller

@Paperdoc the second fan isn't even detected when plugged in. It just goes to full speed and stays like this. Oh, and SYSFAN1 it's a 4 pin, that's why i could control a fan, but i only got 3 pin fans. So a fan controller on 3 pin is the solution. Thanks for the replies!

3 pin fans on fan controller

Hello! I have 2 120mm 3 pin fans running at 1600rpm and they are a little loud, tried to make them run at 1200rpm with speedfan(and other softwares) and bios settings, but no success. Can i control a 3 pin fan with an aftermarket fan controller or do i have to buy 4 pin fans? (i have a MSI...

Will the cooler fit in the case?

I had enough noise from FX-8320 stock cooler and i wanted to replace it with CM 212 EVO and I'm not sure if it will fit in my case, Delux ME879(435H, 410L, 192W) as I can't find anywhere what's the maximum height for a CPU cooler for this case.

    i7 4790K, ASUS VII HERO, 2400Mhz RAM

The I7 4790K supports 2400MHz RAM frequency, but it must be set in BIOS as the RAM wil be automaticly set on the default clock(1600MHz). Except that you have no problem with that combo.

CPU cooling / Best GPU with my older CPU?

There are a lot of good coolers to choose from like Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or GAMMAXX 300. They are not very expensive either. And it would be best if you could buy a thermal compound too. Arctic Silver 5 is so cheap and it's (in my opinion) a best buy. Can't recommand a GPU because i'm not...

i need help with my FX-8350

You should buy an aftermarket cooler. It's is more efficient and a lot more quiet. You can also install different software to control how many rpm the cooler fan has. For example i'm using ControlCenter from MSI, set on auto-control and it's a lot more resonable. And even though it has less rpm...

    Dual Channel Issue

I have a 4gb 1600mhz Fury White stick on my mobo. I want to buy another one. My question: can i dual channel them or do i have to buy a new kit of 2x4gb for that? And knowing that i'll only use my pc for gaming and maybe streaming for some friends, does dual channel matter?
