CPU cooling / Best GPU with my older CPU?

Hello everyone,
currently i have Quad-core q6600 2.40ghz CPU
HD 5670 GDDR5 GPU
4GB RAM
G41MT-D3V mobo

I would like to upgrade my GPU ( possibly GTX 650ti 2GB, dont wanna anything super-strong, because my CPU would propably not keep up) - which card would be just fine for my CPU and would work well?

Another problem i have is that my CPU seems to be overheating, 50 degrees while doing nothing and while gaming it gets to 68 degrees which is pretty high, friend of mine has like 45 degrees while gaming. I have a stock cooler that came with the processor when i bought it 4 years ago. Not sure if this intel cooler sucks so hard or there might be something else wrong, i have reapplied thermal pasta 3 days ago and still not much better.

PS: dont tell me to upgrade my CPu please, because in this case it would mean also changing my Motherboard and RAM aswell, and my budget is very limited, something around 230 € .
For now, i would like to get new GPU that can keep up with newer games like ESO,WoW,Rust and also maybe spend some money on new CPU cooler.

take at least 660/760 also basically any 775-compatible afercooler.. its more important how you apply thermal paste

i was looking at Coolers, but i was afraid they would be too big and would not fit in to my Mobo with Bigger GPU than i have right now too, all because i have the mini version of motherboard.

There are a lot of good coolers to choose from like Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or GAMMAXX 300. They are not very expensive either. And it would be best if you could buy a thermal compound too. Arctic Silver 5 is so cheap and it's (in my opinion) a best buy. Can't recommand a GPU because i'm not familiar with that chipset.
