I just did mine. I did it outside the case and it was pretty easy if you pay attention to which notch in the bracket you're supposed to use. Don't overtighten anything and just start loosely threading on the bolts. Once everything is on you can torque it down.

I guess I'm thinking that installing the drivers and 'gpu related software' will be a hassle later on when I'm installing a totally different card. Will it be hard to get rid of the drivers, etc.?

I have an Asus Z97 Pro MB and an i7-4790K CPU Since this is a 'newer' CPU, should I update the bios as soon as I get it out of the box? I was planning on getting everything installed running on windows, then flash the bios afterwards. Whats the best gameplan? Thanks!
