yeah 2 titans SLI is definitely overkill for 1440P.. I personally run 2 gtx 980s SLI with a 4k gsync monitor and I run everything maxed 4k/60fps and the most demanding games ill see drops to 45 fps at the lowest but the gsync more than makes up for the dips.. you should definitely consider going...
