I need help on moving my PC on a plane.

How to pack correctly? I put the case in its original box with polystyrene padding. Is that not enough? I want to leave the PSU and motherboard in the case as I have very limited space.

I need help on moving my PC on a plane.

I remove the CPU cooler, graphics card, HDD from the case. The case is in its original box with polystyrene padding ready to be moved. Motherboard and CPU should be okay right? Do I need to remove the PSU too? Can vibration and shock cause damage to a PSU?

Overclocking past the power limit set by motherboard???

I have ASUS M5A97 R2.0 and it supports CPU up to 140W. I'm using FX 6100 with a TDP of 95W. What happen when I overclock this CPU and the power draw past the limit? Is it even possible though? This CPU is currently OC'd at 4.2 GHz at 1.428V. Prime95 load pushes the voltage to 1.452V. I don't...

Need helps and tips for OCing my AMD FX 6100

I am very new to overclocking. So I need to also make sure that what I am doing is correct. I need to learn more. My specs: CPU: AMD FX 6100 (Still experimenting with stable OC) Mobo: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 Cooler: Corsair H80i I'm currently running Prime95 Small FFTs at the time of writing this. My...

    Socket temperature vs Core temperature???

I've downloaded OverDrive and wow, the Thermal Margin reading is very convenient. So that means I can just solely depend on OverDrive isn't it? What do you mean by socket temp isn't important in my situation?

    Socket temperature vs Core temperature???

This is when I was running Prime95. Are both of these temperatures important. I mean, which one is more important than another? I ask this because certain utilities like Core Temp and Corsair Link only show core temp and not socket temp. HWMonitor and HWiNFO show both. My specs: CPU: AMD...

I have questions about HWMonitor software

HWMonitor shows 2 CPU temperature readings. The one above (70C) and the one below which is core temperature (54C). I was running Prime95 at this screenshot moment to test my overclocked CPU. My question is which of the 2 temperature should I watch out for? According to CPU-World, the "Maximum...

    Temperature monitoring question

I'm so used to HWMonitor. It has two different CPU temperature readings, the one listed above the fans section (which is 70C) and the one below which shows each of the 6 cores readings (which are 54C). I'm currently running Prime95 Small FFTs. I always read the top reading (the 70C reading)...
