[SOLVED] RGB on new motherboard not working properly

Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my CPU and MB to an i7-9700k and ASUS Maximus Hero XI. The issue I have is that on the motherboard itself the RGB, or LED lighting, doesn't work when the PC is turned on. However, when the PC is turned off, the lights come back on. I've checked the BIOS...

CPU keeps overheating once every 2-3 minutes.

If you've had the problem since repair, I'd go back and tell them what's happened. Your repair should still be under some kind of warranty if you haven't left it for a while, so asking won't hurt at all. Just used some google-fu and found this for you to help put your mind at ease regarding...

This is why we're saying to format your drive and perform a fresh install of your OS to help minimize the possibility of errors occurring. Yes, backup your important files such as photos, music, films...

4GB Hardware Reserved Ram, 8GB intotal. [SOLVED]

Could be dysfunctional RAM, a possible memory leak. Your OS can still pick up that you have 1 or more sticks in the motherboard and still function regardless of a leak. It could be immediate or further down the line that the problem presents itself, which could be the case now. What you need to...

I am thinking of swaping my entire motherboard, CPU and ram for and new bundle i found, What drivers will i need to uninstall?

Ideally with a new motherboard and chip you backup what you want to keep and format the drive beforehand and install new OS. But what you can do is after you've installed your new mobo etc you can hit windows key +r, type devmgmt.msc to open Device Manager, click on view then click on show...

    Buidling a new PC

Without a doubt the case has a big influence on the build. When you have two big 140mm fans sucking in cool air to flow over your components it helps aid the general health and wellbeing of your build. Of course with good wire mangement in tight cases you can encourage good flow, but having a...

    8700 or 1600/1700?

It's completely up to you. We can't spend it for you. The parts look good and will work together with your 1080 no problem. I'd recommend at least a 550w PSU too.
