i have both, and whenever i try to boot from CD, it gives me the error. i can't boot the HDD, because it already formatted it, and screwed up half way thru the copying process

how do i format it if it won't even let me boot the Windows disk tho?

i was trying to install XP Pro SP2 onto my Dell Inspiron laptop. i got to the part where it was copying files. at 60% it kept telling me it couldn't read files and if i wanted to skip or retry. at first i tried retry, but it didn't work. so i skipped it, but then it happened with the next file...
