I had same problem.. my motherboard is ddr2 and i tried Sapphire R7 240 1GB ddr5..didn't work...

i inserted the graphics card in PcI-e * 16 slot... and i connected the display cable into the card VGA and i restarted... but no display... and I connected back the display into the onboard, display comes... but the newly inserted graphics card is not showing in the device manager... please help

OK i will check that and tell you... and one more thing i have only connected 24 pin cord to the motherboard... is there any other cord to connect into the motherboard? any 4pin or 8pin connectors?
