@tea urchin Not sure why an intel mobo would last longer though I will admit it's easier to find an intel motherboard with the other features this computer would need than an amd board. @fillipi I gotta admit I kinda glossed over the Xeon processors I wasn't thinking about using a server cpu...

I'm putting together a build for my girlfriend and I just can't decide if it would be better going with intel or amd for the processor. She will be using the computer for photoshop (and programs like it) matlab and autocad and I think she said adobe flash professional was another one...

lol I would probably feel similar in that situation, granted it was actually sapphire that did it I guess but I'm not sure what amazons return policies are they may or may not let you get a refund I know alot of stores like to just replace the thing you bought or give you store credit

can't remember where I seen it some forum post somehwere but ping for most games supposedly is good at like 50-60 and starts to cause trouble at 150 so I imagine the lag spikes you get are from when certain things are happening and your ping jumps a bit to a point where the things you mentioned...
