Lian Li PC-A70 Case Review. (pics included)

Nice case! I am wandering how thick are the side panel? I have their V-serier case with thick side panels which adds alot of weight to the case. On the picture they look thinner but are they so thin to the point of flimsy? If you can let me know would be great! thx for the review.

    AMD Socket F (1207) vs Conroe ??????

I own the gigabyte, but I would personally prefer the Tyan S2895 over the Gigabyte, as they are a more reputable server board maker. Plus, I prefer boards w/o any active coolings on the NB and SB. Only reason I bought the Gigabyte was because it was cheaper and it offers 2 ATA connections...

    AMD Socket F (1207) vs Conroe ??????

You can check out forum threads at http://www.2cpu.com in the motherboard section. As for your upgrade, if you already own the opterons and ram, I would recommand you save some money and just get a new board. beloved patriot Luck! C2D only goes to 1.120 idle...anyone get .85ish???

Nope, lowest i got is 1.141v. That's with 6x multiplier at 1.6ghz. There is an option in bios that allows me to disable one core, so may be i'll get .85v with only 1 core enable? what else could possibly influence the voltage for the cpu that we might not be aware of? To crow_smiling, i...

    C2D only goes to 1.120 idle...anyone get .85ish???

This is very interesting, I just check mine. I have the intel D975xbx and I idle at 1.215v. Although it's under home/home office power scheme. I'll try to switch it to portable/laptop and see. And yes, this is definately report worthy if the chip can't achieve what intel has claimed.

    OpenGL performance on ATI R600

Agree completely. It's a good thing that autodesk is moving toward directX, not saying it's better performace wise, etc, but for sure better for our wallets :)

    OpenGL performance on ATI R600

He was talking about Vista, DX10, so I thought I just let him know heads up that as of now CAD 2007 still only works in 32 bit.

    OpenGL performance on ATI R600

i remember read it somewhere that Vista will natively support Open GL, will have to dig it up. The thing is that the professional cards are largely depend on the driver it uses, hence the still imo unjustified higher cost. Also, I checked autodesk website, cad2007 doesn't support 64bit OS as...
