There should be a little button battery somewhere on the motherboard, pull that out (while the PC is off) and leave it out for a couple of minutes which will allow the capacitors to discharge, then but the battery back in.
Here's one motherboard that you can overclock on. Unfortunately they're isn't a lot of options when it comes to LGA 1155 motherboards.

It's pretty much that simple, yeah. Just make sure you have a copy of your Windows key, because windows may consider a new motherboard a new computer, so your windows may be deactivated which means you will have to reactivate it.

Sometimes your ping will be fine, even though your connection is bad. It could also be hardware limitations, or unwanted programs running in the background hogging memory.
Give shadowplay a try for sure, it has much less impact than any software I know, but if that doesn't work you may want to look into an external capture cardm such as the AverMedia Live Gamer Portable...
