Thanks I've actually found that one on Amazon.co.uk but I would have preferred a 2TB drive. I'll pop one in my basket in case I can't find a 2TB. I really didn't think it would be such a problem.

I have been chatting on avforums.com with a user of the same Arris box and he has successfully installed a Western Digital AV-25 500GB 2.5" SATA drive in his, but I am after a much larger drive (2TB) which I am struggling to find.

It's a replacement to go in a Satellite video recorder, so only 2.5" will fit.

Hi guys, WD Purple were the first ones I looked for, but as Eximo said, they are not available in 2.5" I'll take a look at the Seagate options mentioned (although I have heard bad things about the reliability of Seagate drives). Thanks for your advice.

I created New Simple Volume and formatted NTFS and ALL IS GOOD. Many Thanks

Sorry, didn't realise that. I've opened Disk Management now and it shows Disk 0 and Disk 1 I'm pretty certain it's Disk 1 I need to work on. I'll let you know how I get on.

I bought THIS adaptor, hoping to re purpose the 1TB drive from my old MYBOOK drive as a portable USB drive (I've got a 2TB one now). It connects and shows up in Devices and Printers as "Best USB Drive" but it doesn't appear in "My PC" Was the Drive formatted differently to work in MYBOOK ? or...
