This problem started a few months ago. My GPU is an RTX 2080 XC ULTRA, and my monitor is a BenQ XL2420TE (1080p, 144hz). A few months ago, my computer crashed, where the monitor turned off, but it sounded like the audio was still going (through the headphones), and it wouldn’t respond to me...
The thing I'm worried about is the settings under video color settings. I don't want my 'blacks to be crushed' when I set it to [full] while I watch videos, and am not playing a game at that moment.
If I have resolution set to full, and video color settings set to limited, would that affect anything? For example, in a game, would the 'resolution setting [full]' affect the game, but when I go into an open tab to watch a video, would the 'video color settings [limited]' then affect the...
I was wondering what the difference between limited and full RGB (color/dynamic range) was, in respect to gaming, and watching/streaming videos online.
There are two options, the first is under resolution, and the other is video color settings. What’s the difference between the two? What if I...
As the title states, using Nvidia’s Shadowplay software, if I only use [manual recording], and not enable the instant replay/background live recording functions, will the video file just be saved to where I directed it to (my HDD)?
I don’t want my SSD having read/write interaction with video...
Interesting that I'm not the only one, glad I posted! It was probably caused by that most-recent Windows .Net update, since the problem never arose before it. I tried everything under the moon to resolve the issue (even uninstalling the application completely through Powershell, then...
Just to reply to your first step, Wouldn't running DISM restore health be meaningless since sfc /scannow and DISM check health/scan health found no integrity violations?
*Just to add some extra info: The images I'm trying to open are on my HDD, my boot drive is an M.2 SSD.
I ran a regular chkdsk, and it said no further action was required, that there was '0KB in bad sectors'. I also ran the ScanHealth variant of DISM, and it also found nothing. Is this fine?
Edit: I didn't use /f or /r, but aren't those used to try and repair something it finds, and the regular...
So basically, after I lost power, my computer was in sleep-mode, and of course, it turned off. I hit the power surge's power switch off, and hit my own PC's power switch off, and waited for electricity to return. Afterwards, I booted up (it looked like it was stuck posting because the monitor...
So, I went into the BIOS and changed the speed of my RAM to 3200Mhz, since that is the rated speed it says that it can hit. Though, that's all I did, I did not enable the XMP profile of-said RAM sticks. Does me putting the speed to 3200Mhz allow it to now reach that speed, or do I have to enable...
So for 2 weeks now, what used to be a very stable 150+ FPS with everything on ultra, is now sitting at just under 90. I have not changed any settings, and have not replaced any hardware.
All drivers are up to date, the OS is up to date, the game files have nothing wrong with them, and my CPU/GPU...
