High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

Thank you ALL for your helpful tips and possible solutions. I'm glad to finally experience real 60hz. After 3 years of gaming on PCs. Perhaps in a few years I'll try 120hz.

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

Installed a brand, spankin' new 240GB SSD. Crucial's M500. Also a fresh install of windows; And games still do not play smoothly. I've had to disable my lan controller for Bioshock, because they don't like to play, and I've disabled sound to no avail. Swapped ram with my bud, same thing...

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

I am now using Nvidia's 335.23 drivers. My CS:GO framerates doubled, everything else seems the same. I also tried a bit of Sleeping Dogs, and during cutscenes the microstutter was pretty apparent.

They were. We used Counter Strike; Source, and Global Offensive; And Battlefield 3. In comparison, their specs are i7 2600k Gigabyte H65(?) LGA1155 motherboard 12GB DDR3 1333mhz GTX 570 Few 500GB+ HDDs 1000W Rosewill Lightning.

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

It bothers me that I went from a Radeon HD 7850; The 7000 series is notorious for this stutter; And dropped $300 on a GPU that still stutters. When the person I'm comparing this to has a GTX 570, and everything is smoother there, I refuse to believe that I just have to deal with stutter. I've...

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

On another slightly unrelated note; Say I take my old GeForce 210 GPU, and put it in along with my 770, and I run my extra monitors on my 210, and my primary one on my 770. I'm not thinking that this would help performance, but would it be possible? Pretty sure that the 210 512MB of vram.

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

Just tried without the 2nd monitor. Still there, with normal vsync forced, and in-game. I used Bioshock Infinite for testing. I did a simple benchmark while walking around Columbia, here's the results Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg 9263, 148208, 59, 61, 60.1866 The 59fps on the min...

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

@MagicPants: I have indeed tried killing background things. And I have some things attached from USB, these being: A Logitech G510 keyboard, G400 mouse, and a Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless receiver for my controller. Perhaps the G510 could have something to do with this since it has the screen...

High framerate; But isn't "true" 60fps.

Recently, I got a new GPU; EVGA's GTX 770. I was hoping it would eliminate my issue with my games having a high framerate, but not being smooth. With the 770, while my average frame rate has gone up by at least 40% in practically every game,(Including the infamous Saints Row 2, but that's for...

Looking for a nice motherboard; LGA 1150.

Sorry about the massive delay. I have decided on a motherboard, which was originally the GA-Z87X-HD3, from Gigabyte, but it died after a day of use. It took about a week for it to be sent in for a refund, and then I got Gigabyte's G1.Sniper Z87 motherboard; Which is also, basically, the best...

    Dayz Quality looks bad

In video settings, set the 3D resolution to match your game resolution. I remember having that too, took me a bit to figure out which setting fixed it. Is this the DayZ standalone or the mod for Arma 2? I'm not sure if the setting interfaces are different.
