yea. i've got them on disks, sorry i forgot to mention that. cleared CMOS and it's installing now. Just moving really slow?

Hey, so after like 2 weeks worth of trouble I finally got my first build all together. Went it BIOS checked it out quick, was really pumped that everything was working. Except i can't install windows. I'm installing off an iso, i've tried too different ones both of which i know have worked in...

It doesn't matter that my hs is a thermaltake and the bracket is a xigmatek does it? As long as they're both 775? Or should i find a tt?

So if i run to the hardware store and buy some little bolts and some super thin nuts and maybe a couple washer i can bolt down the heatsink? The metal isn't going to be a problem is it? As long as i can fit it in between the mobo and back of the case?

Hey, so these push-pins are frustrating me, it's my first build and i've had everything together 3 different times and can't get the cooler to make good contact with the cpu. I'll get into bios and see my temps are in the 70s shut down and see the cooler wobbling all over the place. Even though...

yea, unfortunately it uses the pushpins. i tried to superglue it around but it didn't work, sanding was going to be my last option. Maybe i'll try to hook it around to the motherboard different tomorrow. dumb question but the holes are in a square right? like if could go in there left/right and...

alrighty, my power problem resolved itself somehow. i've had 5 or so good starts in a row, everything powers on like it should. my cpu fan is still rubbing the heatsink. it's a thermaltake V1, i think i'm going to try to superglue it. my other problem is the monitor, it doesn't think it's hooked...

ok. i'll look at the cooler. i think i'm goign to unplug my motherboard and see if just the fans and stuff will run normally without it. try to isolate the problem or whatever. thanks for the ideas

dang well it turn on twice and seemed like it was working except i couldn't see anything on the screen but the cpu fan was rubbing against the heatsink so i turned it off to fix it and now it's doing the same thing again. any ideas?

yea mobo is on the standoffs. power is working fine now. just need to get the monitor to see it's plugged in, not really sure what the problems is there. thanks for the help, i was just freaking out a little and figured i'd ask someone quick.
