I personally have used the Asus and I am very happy with it. According to reviews the two monitors are pretty much the same, but most people will say that the asus has a better build quality that is more stable and sturdy.

i would switch to windows 8 over 7 and for a little more you could get a newer gen video card. if you plan to sli in the future you will want a better power supply as well.
