I've just installed a fresh Ubuntu 15.04 and the first thing I tested was the sound. At first it seemed it works (the speakers are playing) but the subwoofer isnt working. As default the sound played through Line out, then I changed it to Analog Output/Amplifier and selected 5.1 output, but then...
Both ssd's have the same read speeds (500MB/s) so it doesnt matter on which one you place your OS
When you are considering an SSD look at this specs:
Max Read/Write Speeds
IOPS
Sequential reads (for large files)
4K random reads(for small things like opening web browser)
MTBF(mean time between...
1 HDD would take way more power than 2 SSD's.
Yes the ssd's last longer than hdd's some last 1 000 000 hours some 1 500 000 or even 2 000 000 MTBF (mean time between failures)
anyway it will probably live long enough that you would want an upgrade anyway.
Samsungs ssd's are the most reliable...
for 1080p monitor I suggest Asus mx239h since it has AH-IPS panel which is way superior over TN in color reproduction and viewing angles.
Also it has dual speakers 2x3W and nice design.
depends on the use. for daily work and gaming 1080p monitor is the go, for development, programming, gaming 1440p is a good choice.
your cpu and gpu both can handle 1440p. But for gaming on 1440p I think 770 cant get stable 60fps for some games.
it will work since your mobo is dual-channel and other channel work independently from other so you can have one channel 2x2gb and other 1x4gb or 2x4gb it will work. just dont mix sizes in the same channel (the same color sockets).
