Review Cooler Master NR200P Max Review: Plain ITX Brilliance

Nice upgrade from the original NR200, but I'm disappointed they didn't add a USB3 Type C connector. The lack of that makes it seem outdated and is the reason I passed on the original.

Review G.Skill Z5i Review: Shake Your Memory Maker

Do you have any information about when it will be available? G-Skill's press release for this case came out months ago, but I don't see the case offered anywhere.

    Question Cable management question

I've used Velcro ties for many years in my PCs with no problems. Maybe I'm just lucky; this must be an issue I have never heard about.

Question looking for a new itx case

I've built twice in the A1 and twice in the NZXT H100. They're both very good cases. I like the looks of the A1 best, and building in the H100 best.

Question System Restore - Will my operating system revert?

System Restore will not revert your Windows 10 OS back to Windows 7. Assuming there is a previous restore point saved, it will just revert back to whatever drivers and minor updates that existed when the restore point was created. But not back to a previous version of the OS.

Question Can I update my motherboards BIOS without a cpu?

Some of the higher-end ASUS motherboards offer "BIOS Flashback," which you can do with nothing but a USB drive (containing the new BIOS) and the PSU connected. No CPU, Memory, or storage needs to be installed to do the update. I don't know if other boards offer this or not.

Question How to switch content from one m.2 ssd to another

They now make M.2 enclosures that have USB connectors. They are still a little pricey compared with the standard SSD enclosures, but they make the job easy. Here's just one example...

    Laptop CPU comparison and difference

No, the newer ones. For example, Ryzen 5 2400G (includes internal graphics), Ryzen 7 2700X, Ryzen 5 2600X, etc. Also, the Ryzen Gen 3 CPUs are supposed to come out around mid-year. Oops! Sorry. Forgot you're looking at laptops (those are desktop CPUs). So, yes the latest mobile Ryzen line-up...

    Laptop CPU comparison and difference

In my opinion, forget Pentiums. Get at least an i5, or an i7 if you can afford it. I think you can find a good laptop with i5 or i7 within your budget. A touchscreen, however, would probably put it over your budget. The newer AMD CPUs would also work for you, and probably save a little money...

[SOLVED] I don't know if it is the right place to ask but how do you deal with laptops that you no longer use?

...or pass it on to a "starving student." I've known a few students who were trying to get by in college with their smartphones. Not too easy to type up term papers that way.;)

    Question Windows 10 activation problem

The license was only valid for your original computer. (An exception might be if you happened to have had a retail license for the Win 7 OS.)

Question struggling to migrate my OS to a new ssd.

Try disconnecting your old HDD until you've booted successfully a few times. If you have to do so, you can do another install.

Question struggling to migrate my OS to a new ssd.

If you decide to do a clean install, you'll be fine. The beauty of Windows 10 is that it uses a "digital" license based on the physical components of your PC (and your Microsoft account if you used one). It will automatically activate with only a HDD to SSD change. When the install procedure...

    Question HDD copying Software

I think Macrium Reflect software will do the trick. They have a free version.
