I fully removed the card, cleaned the port and the card then reinserted it. I haven't removed the power supply cord but the power light is still lit up green on the card showing its receiving power. The power supply is a corsair HX 650 so it should be more than enough.

Hey OK so after using the computer for another few days it seems that the problem is not fixed as I am continuing to have blue screen crashes. This time I recieved the error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

Alright so I uninstalled avast and re-installed it, and as far as I can tell the computer is running fine but only time will tell if the problem is fixed as before it seemed to be running fine but then it randomly crashed again. Thanks for you help, if it crashes again I will post the error.
