Windows Update for 8.1 gets stuck at 88%

Hi Everyone,

I have a tower computer with windows 8.1 installed. The computer is trying to update but it gets stuck at 88% every time. Then after about 1-2 hours of trying it will restart and then say "undoing changes" and revert after another hour, revert me back to my previous version of windows. Any advice on how to fix this problem would be much appreciated.

Hi just install a few updates at a time (tick check boxes). when you get the one that cause the problem dont install it and hide the update to prevent installing in the future

Where do I go to choose what updates to install?

Hi. Go to Control Panel - Windows updates. You will see a list of updates there. Select the earliest ones first and work your way through the list
