What's the warranty lifespan of the Seagate HDD? If the WD HDD has alot more years of warranty than the Seagate HDD, I'd choose the WD HDD. But if it's only like 1 or 2 years difference between the two of the HDDs, then I'd suggest the 8tb :) Both Seagate and WD are good so... :) xd.

U could try going to your BIOS again and if the HDD shows up in the BIOS, then good as you already stated. Then load optimal defaults in the bios and then start windows. Then see if it works.

Try the ones u bought, if that too doesn't work, it's most likely a motherboard issue. You should also make sure all the motherboard power connectors.etc are all connected properly and aren't loosely connected just to make sure once more.

Seems like a motherboard or power supply issue. You can try using the power supply in your friend's PC or something to check if it's happening with his PC with your power supply. You should try it if you can.
