Hey there. This error means your computer is shutting itself down to prevent data loss. It's a hardware issue. If you recently installed Win 10, I would make sure that all of your drivers are completely up to date and also update your BIOS.

I would personally wait for a Volta GPU - likely to get 12GB or 16GB for a similar price as the 1070 in just a few months. Agree with previous post about Ryzen - should work fine unless unexpected happens.

I have an Acer XB1 (2560x1440) and when I got it I had a GTX 980 - I've since upgraded to the 1080 but I was able to play games like Dota 2, Overwatch, Path of Exile, with no issues. You may have to tweak some settings but you'll be fine with a 1060 6GB if you can swing it price wise.

If you can afford it there's no reason to not future proof a bit more and get the 1080ti. I would personally wait until Computex to see if there's any release date on Volta, however.

If both the gpu AND cpu increased, it's likely due to dust or ambient temperature being higher. Make sure it's clean and all your fans are working, then try lowering the temperature in the room.

Case is totally fine - my critique was subjective. Just a warning - once you get a tempered glass case you'll start obsessing over the aesthetics (at least I did!), so you may find yourself with the itch to upgrade. I started in a similar situation and ended up with this lol...

Though I would say a tempered glass case with no shroud on the MOBO and a stock cooler - meh :)

Or just go with Hellfire's build lol!

Hi Inky, A few thoughts on your build - Hellfire is right about your motherboard/chipset - you could probably save some money and go for the Asus Prime H270 plus. You don't need the features on the Z270 since you're using a non-overclocking processor. I would use that savings *about $85 on...

Looks nice - I might try to get less expensive RAM and see if you can get the i5-6500 for a better clock speed. Otherwise should tackle anything at 1080p!

Definitely wait for Ryzen release in a couple days - MicroCenter already dropped prices big time on Intel chips so even if you want to stay Intel you can probably jump to an i7 and stay in budget.
