So, i built my pc 1 year ago. 4790K and a beefy Noctua NH-D15 to keep it cool. Temperatures were always low on idle, at the 30's. I noticed recently after loading up Aida64 that the idle temperatures have gone up 11 degrees !! Gpu gone up 8 degrees.

Im posting this because i want to know any reasonable explination to why this has happened, and how i can solve this. It could be a dust issue but 11 degrees just sounds way to much for a year of use. What can i do to bring those old temperatures back?

By the way, CPU usage at 0%

Solution
If both the gpu AND cpu increased, it's likely due to dust or ambient temperature being higher.

Make sure it's clean and all your fans are working, then try lowering the temperature in the room.

As pointed above dust is the most likely culprit. Depending on where you keep your pc ( floor, table, shelf ) and if you have carpet or other dust magnets or pets for that matter in the room the temps can easily go up by 10 degrees if the airflow is restricted.

It has probably changed, but to be honest I don't know how much, if it has increased or not. I can't tell. Thermal paste? Well it could be but 1 year...what's the recommended? I think It may just a be a dust issue after all, 11 degrees, thought it must have been something else

Also just to say, sorry for late response. I was waiting for emails to be sent to be as soon as i received a reply but apparently that didn't quite work.
