you need to run the comcast TC8305C in "Bridge Mode" also called, "Bridging Mode" sometimes. I run my Comcast supplied Arris Gateway this way. What this does is disable ALL the "ROUTING" it does and just lets everything pass straight through basically. You need to do this to avoid double NAT.

Maybe the circles you found were designed on a 4:3 monitor. A 4:3 aspect ratio is more square, so when you put them on your monitor which is 16:9 (more rectangular) they stretch out more. 1920 x 1080 is 16:9.

It depends on his computer, for instance mine won't boot off USB 3 ports. They are only active after drivers are loaded and not boot time. I'll take you at your word for newer platforms. My wife has a new Skylake as of this week and it may boot off USB 3 with no need for the OS to load first.
