It does, but when I right click in disk management to select a simple volume it gives me the option of stripped, which is what my raid is in my uefi. Should I select that or go with simple volume?

If I have RAID already configured in UEFI do I need to also specify that in Windows disk manager when I am creating a partition?

Yes, it disconnected successful. I was so worried I might have made it permanent storage which I didn't want to do at all. But that's why it was kind of weird that it would show up as USB mass storage device just wouldn't give the option to eject, till I checked in the system tray right hand corner.
