[SOLVED] Can I factory reset my pc while keeping files when upgrading motherboard.

Thanks. I'm not getting a new SSD with this upgrade so is it just not at all plausible to keep files? The programs I have downloaded will be needed for work etc and they will take a lot of time to re-install so it will be a while before I can actually perform the upgrade as I need those programs.

[SOLVED] Can I factory reset my pc while keeping files when upgrading motherboard.

So I'm upgrading my CPU and Motherboard, (i5-7400 to Ryzen 5 3600 with a b450m). While re-installing windows can I keep my old files and just re-install windows or will I have to delete all of my files and have a clean installation of windows. How safe is it to keep files while re-installing.

[SOLVED] I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU to either a Ryzen 5 3600 or an i5 9600k

What should I upgrade too? I don't know whether to go for the more cores or more threads. I'm primarily going to be using it for playing COD Modern Warfare and future COD games. I know that 6 cores is enough for 2020 but I also want to future proof it with the 8 Cores the i5 offers. The 3600 has...

[SOLVED] I can't get into the Bios.

Ok thanks, so is there absolutely no way I bypass their restrictions? Because I'm fairly certain that they also undervolted my CPU because it only consumes about 20 watts under load and it has terrible performance compared to what it should have. If there isn't, is it possible to flash a new...

[SOLVED] I can't get into the Bios.

I have a HP prebuilt from which I have upgraded every component except the motherboard and CPU. I want to enable Hyper/multithreading and increase core voltage for cpu in the bios but there is no way to alter these settings. There was a BIOS password which I cleared using the jumper on the...

    Question I recently upgraded to a 1660 from a 1050 and apparently I'm cpu bottlenecked? I

Ok thanks but the performance I'm getting is not as much as it should be for an i5 7400. It regularly dips to 40fps because of my CPU when it really should stay above 70 according to the benchmark videos I linked above. I'm asking for a reason why this is the case.

    Question I recently upgraded to a 1660 from a 1050 and apparently I'm cpu bottlenecked? I

I knew that my amount of cores would hold me back but I didn't realise it would be this much, according to those videos I thought the bottleneck would be fine as it still gave me like 70fps minimum. But apparently it is holding me back far more than I thought, Is there any reason to for this?

    Question I recently upgraded to a 1660 from a 1050 and apparently I'm cpu bottlenecked? I

There are so many other videos though which showcase the same framerates: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WU1zJ9Xtjzg View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cO3o-poU0A So are all of them fake?

    Question I recently upgraded to a 1660 from a 1050 and apparently I'm cpu bottlenecked? I

I have an i5 7400 and on COD Warzone I should be getting about 80-90 fps on all max settings: according to View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i0PrAA8We4 I'm playing max settings and only getting about 70 max and drops to 40 regularly. I upgraded to 1660 because I made sure that I wouldn't...

[SOLVED] My CPU is only getting 20 -30 watts when its tdp is 65W.

My GPU is the GTX 1050 and if 16 GB of ddr4 ram at 3200mhz (although it only runs at 2666mhz). This is my exact prebuilt (except the ram which I upgraded) https://www.amazon.co.uk/HP-Pavilion-580-015na-Desktop-i5-7400/dp/B07KX3SXNC It consumes 20-30W under max load and about 5-15W when idle

[SOLVED] My CPU is only getting 20 -30 watts when its tdp is 65W.

My system is prebuilt, and I instantly wanted to upgrade my power supply as soon as I saw the wattage. My CPU consumes 20-30W at max load, i.e when I'm playing a game. When idle its sits anywhere from 5 - 15 W. I was just wondering if the fact that my PSU is only 180W means that the cpu isn't...

[SOLVED] My CPU is only getting 20 -30 watts when its tdp is 65W.

Will upgrading my psu from 180W to 650W(or something like that) fix the problem? Or is this normal? If buying a new psu does make it use 65W, will that effectively double the performance i get out of it.
