Question Vertical lines on display that disappear after a while ?

I have 1080p 60hz TV that I sometimes use as a PC monitor via HDMI, out of warranty. Recently, whenever I open it I see a few of these vertical lines in different spots on the screen, all of them towards the left side. What's odd is that after a while, and while the TV is on, they start getting...

Of course by return i mean send it back to them via courier, which i paid for myself (10€). They gave me its full price in store credit...

Question Thoughts on this cheap 144hz monitor?

https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VX2458-C-MHD-Curved-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B07H5GNR18?th=1&psc=1 I've found it for 170€ where i live. My specs are a ryzen 5 2600, and a 1660 super which I'm buying next week (my previous gpu died). My current monitor is 1080p 60hz with a terrible panel that causes...

Question [NOOB Question] Why is GPU undervolting more complicated than CPU?

You don't need afterburner to undervolt, you can do it through the driver settings. You also don't need to bother undervolting anything under the last or last 2 frequency levels, as these are usually what all games will run at. Anything under that and you don't really have to worry about power...

[SOLVED] Is vsync without fps cap available in nvidia cards?

No, the exact opposite lol. It was an option in the card's settings, prevented tearing without limiting framerate. I want to know if it's available in nvidia cards as well, such as the 1660 super in this case

[SOLVED] Is vsync without fps cap available in nvidia cards?

So i had an rx 580 which unfortunately died about 3 weeks ago. It had an option for something similar to vsync but without limiting framerate, and I'm not talking about freesync (whatever that does), it was another option which worked on any monitor, and preventer tearing. The thing is I'll be...

Question Pc suddenly won't boot with gpu connected

It started yesterday. I was playing a game and all of a sudden it died. Peripherals still have power. I tried to turn it back on but it barely lights up for less than a sec and nothing more. I removed the gpu and tried again, this time it worked. The motherboard gave me one 1 long and 2 short...

[SOLVED] Is it possible to cause and control artifacts intentionally?

One last question if you don't mind. I looked up some stuff about undevrolting (through radeon software). Do i have to lower the other states as well, or just state 7(Max)? Will it make any difference if i do?

[SOLVED] Is it possible to cause and control artifacts intentionally?

I read a post this guy made. About how he tried to undervolt his card, which in turn caused artifacts and missing textures in a game he was testing, without crashing. Missing textures meant invisible walls or player model textures being visible from miles away, giving him an advantage in the...

[SOLVED] Is it possible to cause and control artifacts intentionally?

Just what the question says. I was wondering if there's a way i can tweak my card to cause artifacts in-game, but not crash, and if possible control them in a way (as in which textures are affected, or the intensity). I assume that doing something like that could mean harm to the card, but I'm...

[SOLVED] Thoughts on this refurbished GPU i found

It's an xfx rx 580 8gb. I found it at a local pc hardware chain's website for 120€. It's refurbished with a 1 year warranty. The cheapest I could find it new was 173€ with a 2 year warranty. However, I'm trying to save some money so that I can buy another ram stick as I'll be pairing it with a...
