As I mentioned in my post, I removed the door already. I am looking for a better solution at cooling things down. Simply putting a fan seems unideal because I would need to start and stop it when I start the consoles to avoid constant noise.

I live in a very small dorm room (8' by 10') and I have a couple consoles, a raspberry pi, hard drive, network router and a switch all in a small cabinet. I know this is not great for cooling, but it's the only choice I have. I never run both my Xbox One and my PS3 at the same time, but...

The problem isn't fixed... If I find a solution I will post it here. For now I just don't plug my laptop (which turns on the dgpu) when some applications are actively using the igpu for 3d rendering... (any games and sometimes messenger calls do this too)

I always have the latest install of Windows 10 and the issue happened in all versions the laptop ran on. I did DDU all drivers and reinstalled them. The issue still persists. I'll give a shot to a DirectX reinstall... I hope it fixes everything.

I got the device brand new on Newegg... I will contact ASUS customer service about this issue. I would still have preferred simple (or maybe advanced) software fix instead of relying on their call centers. Thank you for your help.

Sometimes, when I plug in my laptop and my dGPU kicks in, my laptop crashes under the VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR BSOD... The issue manifests around once a week. I have an ASUS TUF A15 2021 (full specs down below...) This laptop doesn't have a MUX switch and relies on Optimus for passing the dGPU...

I swapped the GPU early on in my crashes but it did nothing. However the system is very different now than it was at the time and I do no more have that other GPU. I do unfortunately don't have another reliable PSU to try. I have some old 500w stuff but it's from something like a 2008 prebuilt...

Hello! (again) On the next chapter of my cursed PC saga, I think I finally linked all the evidence in my head to one possible conclusion. Sometimes, on boot, my motherboards lights (it's an MSI X570 tomahawk wifi) indicate a bad GPU and is stuck there until I shut it off and hopefully it works...

The problem is that this BSOD happened once after two weeks of usage... It might take a while to troubleshoot... Do you know a way to stress test the SSD´s controller in the current configuration to provoke the issue?

I swapped the motherboard recently so I'm sure the slot is fine... Might it be the pcie controller on the CPU too?

Hi again... After tons of troubleshooting, changing pc parts, multiple fresh windows installs, I thought I had fixed my cursed PC... It ran well for a week or two (which was unbelievable for this PC), but it now crashed again and I think I know the trouble. I got the WHEA uncorrectable error...

Great I think I'll go with the tomahawk... If anybody have any better option I'd be happy to hear it.
