Question Phantek Evolv X Universal Fan Hub Question

If possible, I would ignore the fan hub and connect directly to the motherboard. Less hassle and guaranteed to work that way. Fan hubs are useful with more fans than the motherboard supports. You'll definitely want to connect your AIO cooler directly. The pump header in particular, since the...

Question Help with wiring up RGB fans and AIO in new build with Lancool 2 case

On paper, it looks like everything will work without a hub. The most important thing is make sure you're using the right voltage LED. JRGB is 12V while the 3 pin rainbow ARGB are 5V. Splitters are fine as long as you're below the rated amperage on the header. The best advice I can give you is...

    [SOLVED] 3pin or 4pin?

Those 3 pin fans are 5 volts, while standard motherboard RGB is 12 volts. You would need a 5 volt controller.

    Question Corsair ML120 PRO

That should all work together in theory. The commander pro built in to the case is supposed to be able to handle the 16 LED fans, so there shouldn't be any problems running 4 LED fans with it, especially since they're all individually programmable in iCue.

Question Chassis fan speed at 99% = 1500 rpm and at 100% = 2200 rpm, what is happening?

What motherboard and fans are you using? You may need to switch PWM mode to DC mode to get more control depending on the board.

Question RGB Lights dim or not working

Those fans are made to work with the iCue software. Make sure that you ONLY have that installed and up to date, (no asus aura installed) and the fans are connected properly to the controller.

    Question i7 4790k won't power up

Are you wiring the power and reset buttons correctly? The black and white diagrams can be confusing for a lot of people. Could you post a picture of the wiring there so I can compare it to the manual? Unless you're 100% sure it's right.

    Question Memory speed

There's many conflicting reports on this. I was basing my answer off of multiple sites saying the memory controller in the Ryzen 2000 series goes up to 2933. Obviously, it can be overclocked higher. XMP can usually handle this, and that is the part that's up to the motherboard.

Question Can I use a pcie cable in the cpu slot (modular psu)?

This is why it's all theoretical. I'm most certainly not going to do this, but I'm curious if it's possible. I well aware that the second cpu slot is optional on my new motherboard.

Question Can I use a pcie cable in the cpu slot (modular psu)?

To start with, I know everyone's first thought will be "this is a bad idea" but I mostly want to know if it is Theoretically possible. I have an EVGA 650 GQ 80+ gold semi modular power supply. Only the main 24 pin atx connector is hard wired. The power supply has 2 slots for a cpu cable, but...

    [SOLVED] Opinions on drive setup

It does as a matter of fact. The first port is PCI-e only but the second is from the chipset and has the option of either PCI-e or sata mode. In trying to work with parts on hand, however. This upgrade has depleted my "extra" money for now. So for now I have one each PCI-e and sata M.2 drives.

[SOLVED] System Agent Configuration Option missing

The only other thing I can think of is remove your gpu and plug the monitor into the motherboard, then go into bios and make adjustments under the system agent menu. Hopefully the menu sticks around after you put the gpu back since settings were changed in it. If it still doesn't work though...

    [SOLVED] Opinions on drive setup

I have a new motherboard I'm installing, a decent X470 board that has 2 M.2 slots. I've already got a pcie interface card (256 gb) that I'm using as a boot drive on my old pc. I also have a sata interface M.2 drive (275 gb) that I salvaged from a dying computer that is just sitting there. I...

Discussion Discussion: AMD PCie x4 on mainstream motherboard vs HEDT with more PCIe x3 lanes

A Ryzen third generation processor on a X570 motherboard will have up to 36 usable PCI-e 4 lanes, after accounting for 8 being reserved for various things. This is more than enough for the vast majority of people, and you'll see plenty of extras on motherboards just to try to use more lanes...

Question Games at 144hz keeps crashing

A 650 Watt power supply is uncomfortably close to the minimum for your setup. The sc gpu series is stock overclocked. Even though the G3 is known as a good series, it may not be up to the task with a 1080ti.
