I was wondering if my CPU ever overheated will it damage the Motherboard. I was planning on getting a different CPU since the Ryzen 3rd gen is coming out soon and wanted to know if I needed to get a new motherboard if this CPU ever overheated.

I can't open my motherboard bios setup to update my bios, when I first launch my computer and I am wonder if there is a fix to it. The mother board is MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon if that helps out any bit.

If I get like a gt 1030 and pair it with a R5 1600 will it damage the CPU or will it not effect it at all. I ask this question because I want to wait until 1060s go back to normal prices and I have all my parts except the GPU.
