What is your budget?

Will the x1800xt be good for gaming till about March or April of '07? I would think so but I am just making sure. T_Bone

I need to buy video card and I am stuck between two cards, the 7900gt and the x1800xt. I believe that the 7900gt is better but I don't know if its worth $50 more, considering that dx10 will be out in a couple of months. I have thought about getting a 7600gt but I really dont want to get it...

If you can afford it you should go with 2GB of ram, but if not 1GB will work until games start requiring 2GB of ram. You could probably add more later though. T_Bone

I would get an Antec Truepower II 550W psu and an intel mobo.

If you are going to get the new mobo and cpu/video card at the same time then I would get a mobo with slot PCI-E and get a PCI-E video card. This way you can still use your computer and upgrade your CPU later. Also gives you future upgradability, considering that AGP is pretty much dead. T_Bone

It is definitely worth especially if you are a heavy gamer or plan on multi tasking. T_Bone
