Fixed it. I went into the display settings, and decided to move the slider up to 125%. For whatever reason this decreased the size of my screen by just enough that I was able to install the Nvidia drivers. Did a clean install with it, and its now working.

Slider is set to 100%, I can't uninstall then reinstall as the text window is so large that it just covers the buttons up to hit accept or decline
