I recently bought a new GPU, The GTX 1060. An upgrade from my old 660ti. I was able to play BF1 on that card with a solid 60 fps and sometimes higher on medium settings. Now after the upgrade I struggle to get 30 fps and the game stutters all over the place. I am using hardware that is quite old...

I don't really care. It says I selected it but I didn't that's all. Weird.

A friend told me to play around in the audio properties and somehow set the device as a 7.1 even though it isn't, this apparently fixes the problem. Sorry I can't be of more help.

The other hdd failed because the os on it was linked to different hardware. How did you ge best solution on your last post?

Yeah this build will run it just fine, overclock and youll robs hit the highest settings, maybe even if you dont oc.

i take it you plan to only download from steam and origin etc as you ony have the cd rom?

It will work in a 2.0 slot. However it will not work to its full potential but to the potential of the motherboard. If you plan on upgrading your motherboard at a later point then this will be ok, otherwise it is a waste of money.

Arma 2 is. I have a friend that plays arma 3 off his cheap laptop. But to be sure. Go to canyourunit.com and test your hardware against the game. the results arent conclusive but should give you a good idea. Do you already have the card or are you looking at buying it?

Make sure you get the same type of ram as you already have.

If you do try and run it, make sure you download the update as it will fix the huge problem with fps from the standard install. If its from steam it will be fine.

Of course. Arma 3 is not a very demanding game. This should do just fine on even medium. Don't have too much shadow or terrain detail and you'll be pumping out them frames.
